Formal party, wedding, and cocktail reception: tuxedo or white tie

Smoking (black tie) or White Tie? Get a good impression of what to choose and what we can offer.

If the invitations have been sent out and you've invited guests to wear black tie, we have a large and exciting selection of tuxedos in many colors, materials, and price ranges. The tuxedo is a fantastic wedding option. Although it is sometimes said that a tuxedo does not belong in church, David K always says that 'no sex before marriage' is not necessarily one of the old traditions that has been upheld either.

The tuxedo looks stunning and suits most classic men well; any modern church will see that. With a tuxedo, a white shirt made of pure cotton with a wing collar or French collar can be worn.

Many choose to wear suspenders with a tuxedo, which complements the tuxedo shirt and black self-tie bow tie beautifully. A small extra touch you can add to these distinguished garments is the traditional cumberbund, a silk waist sash, which is absolutely making a comeback. We men often enjoy taking advantage of special occasions to go all out! If one prefers a tuxedo vest, suspenders and a cumberbund can be omitted. The tuxedo is completed with patent leather shoes, patent leather loafers, or perhaps even patent leather boots.

White tie

It's an absolutely fantastic feeling to be dressed in the full tailcoat ensemble, which includes a white shirt with a wing collar, a white vest, a white self-tie bow tie, and, not least, dazzling patent leather shoes. This is for the gentleman who can tolerate being almost, but only almost, on par with the beautiful bride. Both tuxedos and tailcoats are available in a highly comfortable Loro Piana Super 150, a very luxurious and pure wool quality. It has a natural sheen due to the fine weave. The lapels and the stripe on the trousers are, of course, pure black silk. If you wish to be able to use both a tailcoat and a tuxedo in the future, the same trousers can be used for both sets, and it can therefore be advantageous to acquire them at the same time.

Even though we are talking about our top quality here, the cost will often still be on par with or perhaps even significantly below the price of the wedding dress, as it usually takes up the largest share of the budget. In addition, there are some who choose a top hat and an elegant cane, but these are often only for the few who truly want to include all the old traditions. A fresh flower in the lapel completes this beautiful wedding ensemble.
