Fashion - Relevance is back in the world of suits
David K & team scour showrooms, exhibition halls and have sit-downs with producers and manufacturers.
The industry's epicenter, is what David K calls the two annual suit fairs in Florence. It's not fashion's actual center, but it is the suit's safe haven. Ready-to-wear, slow fashion, and the sacred halls of tradition - close to the former Italian textile mills and sewing rooms.
David K says it several times along the way, "These are the world's most dapper men, dressed. In outfits that repeatedly bring a smile to your face and drop your jaw."

“What fascinates an old fashion man like you?”, “I feel happy inside when I continuously see suit trends taken to a new level. Designs and details, but also material mixes can surprise me. The colors are probably the main element of the good mood I often find myself in as I walk around observing the scenery in Pitti Borgo; the square and the streets between the barracks in the fashionably worn-out disused barracks. Outside the walls, the industry and other regalia seep out, making evenings festive and informative, and contributing to solidarity among retailers and other fashion workers.”
It takes one to know one, David says between the lines. Meet him every January and June as he sniffs out trends and boldly buys at small tables right next to the world's most dapper men.
