The company says about itself:
"We were born in Italy, in the south, with the sea inside. Captain Santors is a project born in 2014 from the need to re-interpret the way we dress, drawing on our roots, our land, and our sea.
Our Heritage Collection is a product that interprets the workwear of sailors, fishermen, and sailing pioneers. We use fabrics from small artisans, selvedge denim and cotton in natural indigo made in Japan; Irish and Scottish wool; Italian and English cotton and hemp. The research into fabrics and patterns to be developed is carried out in shipyards and international vintage stores to recover and revisit sailor clothing. The result is a modern work style that is very popular in the USA, Europe, and the East.
We have carefully designed packaging; old hemp bags from the Italian navy become an original wrapping for our clothes. The tag is made of hemp fabric and contains cooking recipes from maritime tradition.
Captain Santors is currently present at international trade fairs such as Pitti Uomo in Florence, Selvedge Run in Berlin, and Labor Bar in Zurich.
Our items are sold in concept stores in Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, and China. Captain Santors' offices are located in the heart of Bologna; production, tailoring, and packing are exclusively made in Italy. A collection made of research, slow movements, tailoring, fine fabrics, and handmade bone buttons. A small production full of passion, values, and Italian tailoring tradition."
